Three People Facing Attempted Murder Charges After Shelburne Stabbing

Three people are facing charges after a stabbing in Shelburne last week.

RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing inside an apartment on Clements Street shortly past three o’clock Thursday afternoon.

Two people involved received serious injuries and all individuals know each other.

Twenty-four-year-old Cade Alexander Benham, Matthew James Jackson aged 31, and forty-six-year-old Yan Franklin Cox, all from Shelburne County were arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The three suspects remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court 9:30am Monday.
