Health Services Foundation Exceeds 25th Anniversary Goal

An ambitious goal to purchase 25 pieces of new health-care equipment for Lunenburg County has been exceeded.

The Health Services Foundation of the South Shore created ‘Project 25’ to tie in with their 25th anniversary.

Development Officer, Allison Clements, says they are now committed to purchase 28 pieces of equipment.

“Since amalgamation, we’ve been trying to figure out what equipment is needed and how can we all work together to get the best price for this equipment? And so now, the asks are finally coming through and we’re actually going to be able to purchase this equipment.”

The equipment being purchased includes a bed pan washer, stretcher, two labour and delivery beds and a pair of trauma lights.

The Foundation was formed in 1993 to enhance services and equipment at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater and Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg.
