Local Mounties Travel To Yukon To Bring Back Criminal

The Mounties always get their man.

A Lunenburg man was arrested in Whitehouse, Yukon after failing to appear in court in Luneburg County.

Fifty-four-year-old Larry Beverly Crouse was charged with impaired driving in New Germany in July 2018.

On August 25 he was charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats following a 911 call from the victim.

He was charged and released on conditions from court August 27 and scheduled to return October 31.

After he failed to return to Bridgewater Provincial Court, members of Lunenburg District RCMP investigated and determined Crouse was in Whitehorse.

With assistance from the RCMP in Whitehorse Crouse was arrested and turned back over to Lunenburg RCMP who travelled to Yukon to retrieve him.

Crouse is being held in custody in Nova Scotia and will re-appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court January 30 to face the previous charges as well as Failure to Attend Court and Failure to Comply with conditions.
