Investigation Into South Shore Principal Finishes

An investigation into complaints against Bayview’s principal has finished.

Bayview Community School principal Lamar Eason was temporarily suspended this fall after a complaint was filed against him.

The move caused concern and confusion for parents at the school, who were initially not notified of Eason’s absence.

Parents took to Facebook, calling for the re-instatement of Eason, although the contents of the complaint were never made public.

Eason returned to the school in December.

The South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE) brought an independent investigator from their law firm in to look at the complaint made regarding Eason.

The complaint, as well as the results of the investigation, are all confidential.

“The investigation has been completed and the investigation report has been received by Paul Ash who is our incoming regional executive director,” says SSRCE spokesperson Angelina McConnell.

She says if the investigation results in actions being taken, those too will be confidential.

CKBW/Country 100.7 and LighthouseNOW Progress Bulletin are collaborating together on education coverage on the South Shore.
