A summer break is in store for councillors in the Municipality of Lunenburg.
Councillors recently approved a three-week layoff from July 29 until August 23.
Mayor Carolyn Bolivar-Getson says it’s a good opportunity for council to take some time off.
“Everyone, regardless of what profession you’re in, requires a break at some time. It’s a break but we’re still on call.”
Bolivar-Getson says if council needs to meet during that time, she can call a special meeting to deal with the issue.
