Two landmarks on the Bridgewater retail scene are about to make their mark in a new location.
The doors are now closed at Gow’s Home Hardware and Gow’s Home Furniture as they prepare to join forces and open their new combined store on High Street tomorrow.
Amanda Fancy, Owner Operator of Home Hardware, says an enormous amount of planning went into the design of the new location.
“It’s a huge opportunity for us. [It’s a] brand new location, lots of possibility to change things up that we, maybe were limited with our current location, like an exterior greenhouse, and some opportunities in furniture as well.”
Fancy says both she and Julie Gow from Gow’s Home Furniture put in the time to make the new store the best it could be.
“We took the best things at both of our locations. We went out and we did tons of visits to our competition. And we took all of the positive things that they have to offer and we tried to create a shopping experience for our customers that incorporate lots of the positive things that we did see.”
Fancy says after working 12 to 14 hour days, seven days a week for the last three months, her team is excited anxious to show customers the new store tomorrow morning.
After 30 years, on King Street and Lahave, we are nostalgic to be leaving, but also so excited to have Gow’s Home Hardware and Furniture coming together.
Both locations will be closing today at 3:00pm. Our new store on High Street will be open Monday morning at 10:00am. pic.twitter.com/2G2LlTJYi3
