Acadia Axemen captain and league MVP Andrew Snyder and midfielder Ryan Rhodenizer, both of Bridgewater, helped Acadia defeat UNB 1-0 to advance to the AUS soccer final against Cape Breton Capers. The win earns Acadia a spot in the CIS Nationals in Guelph, Ontario next week.

The O’Regan’s Subaru Western Hurricanes doubled the Joneljim Cougars 4-2 yesterday evening in Liverpool. The Hurricanes play Dartmouth at 3:30 today at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre.

The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners won their third straight game last night, 4-3 over Miramichi at Mariners Centre, they host the Amherst Ramblers tonight.

The Liverpool Privateers blasted the Antigonish Bulldogs 7-1.

The Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs fell 6-1 to the Weeks Crushers. The two teams square off again today in Bridgewater.
