Fashion Show and Tea Raises Over $22,000 For Harbour House

A fashion show and tea has raised significant money to help support women who are victims of abuse and their children.

Roughly 225 people bought tickets to attend and helped contribute over $22,000 towards Harbour House.

A committee member, Karla McAloney, says it couldn’t have happened without community support.

“We’re extremely thankful to the community,” says McAloney.

“Great support from the community, great support from our sponsors and everyone who donated to help the event be such a success.”

She adds there was lots going on to raise money.

“We had the fashion show by K & S, live auction, balloons that we sell and we have a 50/50. All of it together was a great success.”

The money will support services offered at Harbour House including child and youth counselling and outreach programs.

This was the seventh year for the event.
