Rugby Is Back On In Schools

An agreement has been reached to resume the high school rugby season.

Representatives from the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation and Department of Education and Early Chilhood Development held closed-door talks in Truro today.

It was decided Rugby Nova Scotia will manage the sport for the remainder of the school year.

The NSSAF will supply the organization with player information and contacts.

Members of government and the NSSAF, will meet with medical experts and others over the summer to discuss safety in sport.

The education department and NSSAF will also review the memorandum of agreement to ensure it addressing the concerns of everyone involved, including the athletes.
