Four members of the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs could hear their names called in the QMJHL Draft this weekend.
Will Chisholm, Aaron Lane, Lawson Cook and Ryan Semple are listed as draft eligible by central scouting.
The 16 year-old Chisholm of Lunenburg says it would be a dream come true to be drafted.
“I’m obviously nervous because I really have no idea what’s going to come out of this weekend, but it would be awesome to get drafted. I’m just going to be sitting at home hoping to see something with my name on it.”
The 15 year-old Lane from Bridgewater echoes his teammates feelings.
“Obviously I’m excited, but also a bit nervous. I know there are lots of great players and whatever happens Saturday I’ll be happy with.”
The 15 year-old Cook from Hubbards says it’s his goal to be drafted.
“I’m quite nervous, but whatever happens, happens. I can still come back here and put in another good year next year and hope for the best.”
The 17 year-old Semple from Lower Wedgeport says he’s also feeling a bit nervous.
“There are a lot of good players out there and you just never know if you’re going to get your name called or not.”
The QMJHL draft will be held tomorrow in Quebec City.
There are 11 Nova Scotians projected to be drafted in the first four rounds.
