Quick and efficient work by local firefighters helped limit the spread of a woods fire Tuesday afternoon in Hebbville.
Firefighters from nine Lunenburg County departments responded to the scene off Highway 3 around 3:40 p.m.
The Department of Natural Resources were also notified of the incident.
There were some traffic delays for motorists while crews battled the blaze.
Firefighters cleared the scene after roughly four hours.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
