The executive director of the South Shore Centre for Education is pleased to see great things happening at local schools.
Paul Ash is only four months into his role after serving as superintendent of schools with the Tri-County Regional School Board.
He says now is a time for students and staff to celebrate another school year in the books.
“I want to extend congratulations and best wishes to all of our graduates, their families and our retiring staff. I wish them happiness and success in their future. We wish everyone a happy and safe summer.”
Ash says his first few months on the job were eye-opening.
“I’m very impressed. I’ve had an opportunity to get out to our schools over the last four months, have some conversations with our school administrators, our teachers and get into some classrooms and see some of the amazing things that are happening with and for our students.”
Students are officially on summer break Friday after receiving their report cards.
The first day back to class for students is September 5.
