Heat Warning in Effect for South Shore

Expect it to be hot and humid for the next couple of days.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for all of Southwestern Nova Scotia with humidex values expected to reach 35 as a warm and humid airmass moves into the area.

Daytime temperatures in Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne counties are forecasted to reach 29 degrees today and tomorrow.

Overnight temperatures will be around 17 degrees, although they will be a bit cooler along the coast.

Environment Canada says relief should arrive Wednesday night and into Thursday morning as a cold front sweeps across the province.
