Sheriff Stuck in Elevator Briefly at Bridgewater Justice Centre

A sheriff had an interesting afternoon Tuesday at the Bridgewater Justice Centre.

The Bridgewater Fire Department was paged to the facility just after 1:30 p.m after it was notified that someone was stuck in an elevator.

It appears there was confusion at some point as to who was in the elevator, as some believed it was a prisoner.

However, Department of Transportation spokesperson Marla MacInnis confirms Thyssenkrupp Elevator were contacted and had the sheriff out of the elevator in roughly seven minutes.

The company was assessing the elevator to determine what caused the incident.
