South Shore Exhibition Ready For “Summer Sun and Country Fun”

The largest agricultural exhibition in Nova Scotia is ready for its 128th year.

The South Shore Exhibition gets underway Tuesday in Bridgewater.

The week features some of the sights from rural Nova Scotia including daily horse and oxen pulls, light horse competitions, show horse events.

Other things include the Midway, 4-H Woodsman Competition, East Coast Rodeo and Little Kids Got Talent.

There are also arts and crafts, 4-H, a petting barn, and musical performances on the main stage from Aaron Goodvin, The Traveling Milburys, the Bluegrass Unit and Kevin Davison.

The unofficial kick-off is Tuesday night’s parade through sections of Bridgewater.

It will start at 6 p.m. at the Nova Scotia Community College and travel on High, Empire, York and Dufferin Streets before winding up at the Exhibition grounds.
