Comedic Musical Performance Returns To Give A Few More ‘Glimpses’ Of Lunenburg County’s Past

Lunenburg County will once again see it’s history come to life on stage.

Glimpses, a musical and comedy performance that ran for ten seasons before wrapping up its run in 2017 is back for more a couple more performances this summer.

Hank Middleton says the show is still in demand, and he and the other members of the group couldn’t stay away.

“We we’re approached by St. Mark’s place to do a show there which we did,” he said.

“Then we were approached by the museum who said ‘If you’re going to do a couple special shows, maybe you want to do them here?’ So there really wasn’t a reason not to do it.”

Middleton says the show remains popular because residents enjoy seeing their stories on stage.

“We twist it around at times, for the humour, but for the most part there is a lot of historical meat behind it (the show).”

The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg will host two performances of Glimpses over the next month, with the first running this Sunday the 18th at 7:30 p.m. The final show of the summer will take place September 15.
