Erin To Become Post Tropical Storm as it Reaches Nova Scotia

Environment Canada says Tropical depression Erin is forecast to cross our region as a post-tropical storm tonight.

Rain will at times be heavy and gusty winds are expected across most of Nova Scotia as it moves through.

Total rainfall amounts of up to 45 millimeters are expected for the South Shore.

Lesser amounts are expected across eastern areas of the province.

Southeasterly wind gusts up to 70 km/h are expected to develop late this evening and overnight.

Winds will shift to the west and then diminish on Friday morning.

At this time, Environment Canada says there remains some uncertainty in the track of the storm as it crosses the province.

Should the track shift further east, rainfall warnings may be expanded.
