Firefighters were left confused after a fire alarm at a Mahone Bay church turned up no results.
Shortly before 1 p.m. today, Mahone Bay Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call at the St. James Anglican Church.
But after sweeping through the church, Fire Chief Richard Nowe said no fire was found.
“There was nothing that we could find. The alarms did go off for some reason, but it is being monitored,” he said.
Nowe says although they couldn’t find anything, they will be keeping a close eye on the church for the time being.
