Hebbville Academy was under lock-down today during noon hour.
Officials with the South Shore Regional Centre for Education say the principal initiated a lock-down after an incident broke out between multiple students at the school.
Paul Ash, Regional Executive Director of the SSRCE, says the lock-down was used to gain control of the situation and RCMP were called to the school to assist.
He says the lock-down lasted around 45 minutes and no one was harmed.
Parents were not contacted directly about the incident but an announcement after the lock-down had lifted was made through SSRCE social media outlets.
When asked, Ash was unable to discuss specifics of the incident or comment on whether or not the students involved would face any repercussions before returning to school due to privacy concerns.
