Doughnuts, Doritos Locos Tacos and Whoppers!

Is there something not available locally that you would pay a premium for someone to deliver?

I ask this question because of the news story about the young Minnesota college student who noticed that his state didn’t have a Krispy Kreme donut shop, and hadn’t for 11 years. So this enterprising young man would hop in his car every weekend and drive four and a half hours south to Iowa and fill his car with a hundred boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts and sell them for between 17 and 20 bucks each back in Minnesota. Some customers were buying 10 boxes at a time! All good things must come to an end, and after a local newspaper published a story about his entrepreneurial ways, he got a call from the regional office of Krispy Kreme asking him to cease and desist.
Before the South Shore got a Burger King (of sorts) I’d get my wife Karen to pick up a Whopper on her way home from the city, but a cold Whopper may have put me off those forever.
There was a time when every trip to the Valley involved a stop in Coldbrook at one of the few Taco Bell franchises in the province, but sadly that’s gone too. I do get the urge for a road trip to wherever the closest Taco Bell is located every time I read an article about some new menu item they are promoting, but so far I’ve not committed.
Then there was the time in my misspent youth that an NSLC liquor strike had us taking a van to Sackville New Brunswick, but the less said about that the better!

So what would you pay a premium on that you can’t get here? And how much more?
