First Snowfall Leads To Single Vehicle Accident In Bridgewater

Slippery conditions made for treacherous driving yesterday during Lunenburg County’s first real snowfall.

Around 10:30 am, Bridgewater Police and Fire Department were on scene for a single vehicle accident on Dufferin Street.

A Toyota was travelling into town when it lost traction on the corner near McDonald’s and Arby’s, slid across the road and into the tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 50’s, was transported to hospital for what is believed to be minor injuries.

No one else was injured and emergency crews worked quickly to clean up the area.
