I do it every year. I try not to eat too much. I usually do, but I have good intentions.
There is always just so many good things to eat. Too many favourites. And new things that might be favourites. You don’t really want to miss anything, so you try a bit of everything. At least I do.
Food is one of my favourite parts of the holiday season. There always seems to be a reason to eat. I try not to overdo it, but it’s hard.
But even when I really try with the whole portion control and not devouring everything in sight, I will still end up with an idea how a bear feels. You know. You eat and eat and eat, until you finally want to curl up and take a nap until about the end of March.
Every year I say I won’t, and every year I do anyway. So I’ll just let my belt out one more notch. There’s only a few more days left in eating season. Besides, losing the couple pounds I gained in December gives me something to do in January.
