Roku, the people behind home streaming devices recently released the results of a survey they did concerning vacations. And most of the findings make a lot of sense. 54 % of us would consider lost luggage the ruination of a vacation. I get it. You’d either have to wear the same clothes for the entire vacation or more probably go out and spend a fortune on clothes to wear during it.
Food poisoning and bad weather for the entire trip tied for third and fourth at 47 %, while a lost credit card finished out the top 5 at 44%,
What surprised me was the number two answer. No internet at 49 per cent meant a vacation disaster! These days I feel way too connected to the internet and I think a trip to Cuba would be a great “device vacation”. I often feel the need to disconnect from the internet – I spend way too much time on it, preparing my morning show, playing videogames, keeping in touch with friends and family, but sometimes it all gets to be overwhelming. (Maybe I should start a GoFundMe page on the net to send me to Cuba to device disconnect)
Oh, but wait, that is on the internet and might be a bit hypocritical.
