Cannabis Edibles Hit Online Shelves

Starting on Monday the NSLC began taking online orders for products that are part of their Cannabis 2.0 lineup.

Cannabis 2.0 offers cannabis products in forms other than the traditional flower version. You can now buy snacks like chocolate and gummies or if you prefer a beverage they have juices and teas.

The first taste of edibles was made available on Dec. 23rd but limited availability meant many customers arrived to find the NSLC sold out of their newest products.

According to NSLC spokesperson, Beverly Ware supplies will remain tight during the early phases of the rollout but as producers get used to orders the supply should become more regular.

Ware also says there are protections in place to prevent youth from ordering online.

“In order to make a purchase online you need to enter your birthdate and then you also require an access code which can only be acquired at NSLC locations once you have proven you are 19 or older.”
