It was 41 years ago this week that The Dukes Of Hazzard premiered back on January 26, 1979 and yes, it’s one of my guilty pleasures.
I have a lot of guilty pleasures – by that I mean I really like a lot of low-brow pleasures that many of you might roll your eyes at.
I love the tv show “The Beverly Hillbillies”. I was once a member of the Beverly Hillbillies Video of the Month club. For a ridiculous price they would send you 3 episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies on VHS tape every month. It was worth it for the episode “Granny’s Critters”
My favourite comedy films are anything with Jim Carrey, the Dumb and Dumber series or Dodgeball. I blame it all on a steady after school diet of “The 3 Stooges”.
Food – Any flavour of Jello. Drink – nothing better than a tall glass of Kool-Aid after mowing the lawn on a hot summer’s day.
And I haven’t quite kicked my addiction to reality tv. I gave up most of the originals but have now discovered Catfish and The Circle. If you haven’t seen the Circle yet on Netflix do check it out.. 13 contestants interact with each other on their private social media network but never meet each other in person until one of them is kicked out. The show reveals the internal thought processes players make as they decide how to present themselves to the group.
