A widely viewed, widely shared video on social media of a car being driven off the wharf at Cape Saint Mary’s in Digby County has prompted some strong condemnation online.
A car can be heard revving before busting through wooden piles at the wharf and launching into the water below.
The driver emerges shortly afterward, and swims to shore.
A second video posted on Sunday shows a number of officials including RCMP working to hoist the vehicle from the water.
There’s no word yet on any charges, though RCMP confirm they are investigating and more details will be available later on Monday.
