I’ve been following a Youtube series with a wacky name for a while now, and just recently found out that they are local to the South Shore! It’s called Wabi Sab – E and features a young couple, usually in their pajamas, renovating a hundred year old farmhouse. And no, they’re not experts, or at least they weren’t when they started out three years ago. They’ve learned what they have to do from DIY videos on other Youtube sites and really done well restoring this beautiful farmhouse, one room at a time.
Now if you think watching home reno’s is about as exciting as watching paint dry, this web series has a twist. It has a lot of fast motion sped up scenes with soothing music, and the laid-back couple work well together. There’s no in your face moments, and they even include some funny couples conversations that ring true.
They’ve been at it for 3 years and have slowly garnered 153 thousand subscribers as of this morning, but a big web aggregator site , Mashable, has recently done a story on them so expect that number to grow exponentially over the next few weeks.
