One thing for sure, you know someone is out there trying to make money. So don’t believe everything you read on the internet. A lot of it is simply not true.
At this point, there is nothing that will cure Covid-19. There are lots of claims. You may even have seen a few. I know I have.
There have been stories that drinking bleach will keep the virus at bay. It won’t. In fact it could make you sick.
There are things being touted such as colloidal silver solutions that claim to cure everything. Again, they don’t. In fact there are seven companies who have received letters from the Food and Drug Administration in the U.S. to stop selling this stuff. Televangelist Jim Bakker is one of them. He’s even being sued by the state Missouri to stop selling his version.
The thing is, you know this whole situation will bring out the snake oil salesmen.
Internet hygiene can be almost as important as regular hygiene. Double check everything you see online. I know I have already seen some questionable products popping up through friends on my news feed. Don’t believe everything you see.
And wash your hands. That’s about the only thing we know that might work.
