Highway 103 Closed Between Exits 13 and 14

Local RCMP have closed Highway 103 between exits 13 and 14.

Sgt. Macpherson with the RCMP says emergency crews are on scene and the highway will remain closed until around 8:00 p.m.

He says a motor vehicle collision led to damaged power lines initially they hoped to reopen the highway in two hour but Macpherson the power lines have pushed back that timeline.

“The lines are just too low and need to be fixed so we are working with NS Power to get that done as quickly and safely as possible.”

Motorists are being directed of Highway 103 at those exits and detoured to alternate routes.
