Queen’s County COVID-19 Measures Update

Nova Scotia is now in a State of Emergency and Queen’s County has introduced new preventative measures to slow down the spread of COVID-19.

The Municipal Administration Building remains open only for those dropping off or picking up required permits or paying bills. All bills and permits can be dealt with using on-line methods.

All municipal parks and beaches are now closed including Beach Meadows Beach, Pine Grove Park, Tupper Park, Miriam Hunt Park, Milton Pool property, North Queens Aquatic Centre property, Cobb Park, Centennial Park, Privateer Park, and Mersey Skatepark.

The council meeting to be held March 24 is cancelled

No new public vending permits are being issued effective immediately, March 23, 2020.

Mayor David Dagley urges people to be respectful of others during this difficult time, in particular those who are continuing to provide essential services and those who may be laid-off in the coming weeks.

The complete list of measures can be found on the municipalities website at www.regionofqueens.com
