Days Like This Are Tough

It’s days like this that could lead a person astray. Or at least outdoors.

But there are ways to deal with sunny warm days. You can maybe get out in the yard. Possibly even start dreaming about planting things.

I did that this morning. It was more of a take stock wander through the yard. Tulips poking up over there. Snowdrops and crocuses in bloom over there. And rhubarb starting to come up.

I like rhubarb. Stewed rhubarb, rhubarb cake, rhubarb pie… there are a lot of ways to use rhubarb. And I enjoy many of those ways.

Then there’s the planning part. Tomatoes can go over in that area this year. And maybe I could try some of those potato boxes. You know. The ones with the door on the side so you can just open it up and get potatoes. No digging required. Yeah. Some of those would be pretty nice to have.

Garden dreams are starting. But there is still plenty of time for dreaming. The last couple of years it has been well into June before the frost finally stopped. So maybe we shouldn’t be in too much of a hurry.

And there is a cure for garden dreams. Like maybe wait until tomorrow. Rain and cool temperatures will probably do the trick. Maybe staying inside a few more days isn’t so bad.
