I don’t know who put it there. I’m not even sure how long it’s been there. It could be months and I just never happened to glance in that direction, but there it was.
It hasn’t been an easy couple days for most people around here. Covid-19 has certainly not made life any easier. And the happenings over the weekend certainly didn’t help.
But as I pulled on to the 103 yesterday evening, heading into that beautiful sunset, I just happened to glance to the right.
Just past Exit 12, heading toward Exit 13, as you head up the hill after crossing the Lahave, hanging from a bush is a round yellow thing. On that round yellow thing are two dots and an arc. A smiley face.
Why is a smiley face hanging on a bush along the edge of the 103? I have no idea. But there it is. A happy little yellow face, smiling from the bushes along the highway.
I have no idea if it was done on purpose or just somehow accidentally ended up in this location. But some days a smiley face is just what you need.
