Has anyone noticed how much conflicting information has been coming out on how to keep ourselves safe during this pandemic?
Wear gloves, don’t wear gloves, wear masks, don’t wear masks.
I’m a face toucher, so I feel I shouldn’t be wearing gloves and a mask during grocery shopping. If I was caring for someone with the coronavirus it would be another story. Of course I’d wear them. However, if you do like to wear a face mask make sure you wash them frequently! Don’t microwave them, it can cause a fire. Just put them in the washing machine on a hot wash.
Some early research from various countries are suggesting that age and obesity and gender (men) are indicators that you might suffer more from Coronavirus then others. So if you’re an overweight aging male, it might be a good idea to take extra precautions.
In France, they’re looking into nicotine patches which are generally used to help people quit smoking as a way to cut down your chances of contracting the virus. It seems that smokers were less likely to get the virus or were affected by much milder symptoms according to their studies. Of course, it shouldn’t have to be said that taking up smoking has a much worse outcome than the coronavirus, so don’t even go there!
