Snooze? You Lose!

I get up at 3 am every weekday morning. If you figured I hit the snooze bar several times before I finally get out of bed, you’d be wrong. I haven’t hit a snooze bar in decades.

The clock is across the room, so when the alarm goes off I have to get out of bed to shut it off. If I don’t get out of bed, I end up with a punch to the ribs or a kick to the shins.

It turns out that the majority of you hit the snooze, and of those who do, more than 50 per cent hit it more than once.

But is that extra nine minutes of sleep any good for you? (And why are all snooze alarms set for 9 minutes??)

According to scientists and sleep experts the answer is a resounding “No!”. It can actually work in reverse and make you more tired as you head to work.

So , how often do you hit the snooze bar?
