More High-speed Connections On The Way

High speed internet is on the way to more parts of Shelburne and Queens counties.

Director of Marketing and Communications for Develop Nova Scotia Deb Page says this is an update on the work already being done in much of North & South Shelburne County.

She says Bell is already working on these other areas of the county.

“So there’s design work and engineering work that’s underway at Bell, and they’ll be looking at what footprint and where in those areas they’ll be able to actually roll out additional high-speed connections,” she explained. “We expect all of this most current round to be done within the next three months.”

The project is part of a $2.2 million addition from the Nova Scotia Internet Trust Fund to speed up the work in these areas, as well as some in the central part of the province.
