Investigation Into Snowbirds Crash Could Take A Year

An investigation is now underway into the tragic Canadian Forces Snowbird crash in Kamloops on Sunday.

Lieutenant Colonel Mike French says it is being done by the Director to Flight Safety…but it could take up to a year to complete.

“Safety is a concern, it is always a concern to us,” he said. “That is why we’re going through this investigation. That is why we’re going through this investigation. To find out what happened before we take any further steps.”

Captain Jennifer Casey of Halifax was killed in the crash.

The pilot, Captain Richard MacDougall suffered non-life threatening injuries.

French says this is a devastating loss to the Snowbirds and to the Canadian Forces.
