Chocolate In My Fridge In Spite Of What The Experts Say

People on social media have been discussing what belongs in the fridge and what belongs in your cupboard for months now.

Believe it or not, many believe that your cupboard list should include soy sauce, eggs, vegetables, butter and champagne while the fridge list contains peanut butter and extra virgin olive oil.

But where the internet was really divided was on chocolate.

Now I like my chocolate bars in the refrigerator. Yes, I know you can savour the chocolate better when it approaches room temperature but I don’t scarf the thing down directly out of the fridge but that first bite or two from a chilled bar makes me happy. After a bit, the bar approaches room temperature.

Enter one of the largest chocolate bar makers in the world – Cadbury. They had to weigh in on the fridge vs cupboard debate and they say that the cupboard is the place for your chocolate bar – basically a cool dry place with the temperature under 21 Celsius.

In spite of their recommendation I’m going to keep my bars in the fridge.

What say you? Chocolate bar in the fridge or the cupboard?
