The Town of Lunenburg is mourning the loss of Councillor Joseph Carnevale.
Flags were set to half mast earlier today in honour of Carnevale, after sadly passing away on Wednesday.
Carnevale was in his first term on council, and was known to stand up for and work towards seniors rights, accessibility and affordable housing among other issues.
In a Facebook post, the town says Carnevale was committed to continuing his duties and role in the community despite dealing with difficult cancer treatments, something they say was inspirational.
The post says more information on a memorial for Carnevale is to come.
