Touch-less Scavenger Hunt Sign Of The Times

With safety restrictions still in place, the Town of Bridgewater is changing the game with a touch-less scavenger hunt this month

The recreation department is running the Explore Bridgewater Scavenger Hunt and have identified six landmarks around town for people to find.

Recreation Coordinator Diana Johnson says that it’s a spin off from the traditional centennial punch card challenge they hold every year.

“What we did is hide punches on many of the trails and in the parks and people had to actually touch those objects. We just had to evolve into some kind of scavenger hunt that didn’t involve the touching of anything,” she said.

Pictures and clues have been provided to help find the landmarks and once at the location keep an eye out for one of the super secret coloured symbols or take a picture with the landmark.

Johnson says they are lucky to have a great network of recreation professionals in the area and are constantly sharing ideas.

“Over the summer there will be other cool things that come up and hopefully people will enjoy them,” said Johnson.

For instructions on how to submit items found on the scavenger hunt visit the Town of Bridgewater website here. The scavenger hunt runs until end-of-day on June 28.
