I was surprised to learn that outer space has a smell. That’s right, it may be mostly a vacuum but almost every astronaut has noticed that outer space has a smell – and you’ll soon be able to buy perfume that was developed for astronauts in training to get used to the smell.
So, what does space smell like? The most common comparison is gunpowder, right after a gun has been fired. But then it also has elements of seared steak, raspberries and rum.
That doesn’t sound too bad, does it? It could have been worse. Egg salad and tuna, with a hint of past it’s due date milk? That would really shorten those International Space Station stays, wouldn’t it?
So, if they can make a perfume that smells like outer space, what would a Nova Scotia Perfume smell like ?
