The province has announced it is buying 11 more P-3 schools.
Among them is Aspotogan Consolidated Elementary School in Hubbards.
The government was required to give notice to the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System to purchase, surrender or extend the lease by November 30.
OMERS and Ashford Investments will continue to operate the facility until the lease expires in November 2020.
Other schools that were purchased are located in the Strait, Cape Breton Victoria and Chignecto Central Regional School Boards.
The purchase price for the 11 schools is $50.5-million.
