Huskins Remanded Until Next Court Appearance

A former Yarmouth man facing a slew of charges is due back in court at the end of the month.

39 year old Ian Huskins’s appearance in Dartmouth Provincial Court last Wednesday was adjourned until the 27th of July.

He’s remanded in the meantime.

The charges stem from an arrest on July 2nd, when members of RCMP detachments in Shelburne and Barrington say they clocked a vehicle driving 65 km/h over the limit.

Police say the vehicle was stolen, and that Huskins had a significant amount of cocaine on him.

He faces charges including possession of stolen vehicle, and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, in addition to several multiple driving-related offences.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
