The next four days are every superhero fans biggest four days of the year. It’s San Diego ComicCon online.
I’ll probably get lots of flak for this admission or perhaps you’ll surprise me with your agreement. I don’t like superhero movies.
And I don’t understand why. As a kid, I collected every superhero comic going, so I know all the lore behind the Marvel and DC universe(s).
If I had to list my 100 favourite films, there would not be a single superhero movie on the list.
There are a few that I didn’t lose interest in while viewing – I liked Deadpool for some of the funny lines, Joker for Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of the anti-hero, while Black Panther and Wonder Woman were just OK in my books.
Does anyone else feel left out because you just don’t get the superhero fandom? Or should I go sit in the corner?
