Full public inquiry announced for Portapique massacre

There will be a full public inquiry into the Portapique massacre.

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair confirmed that in a release on Facebook and Twitter late Tuesday.

Blair says federal officials have heard the complaints of the families, MPs, and others from across the country.

He says the three review panelists have been made commissioners for the public inquiry.

Blair says the public inquiry will have the power to call witnesses and be fully transparent.

22 people were killed in the April 18-19 attack through Colchester Co.
