Bridgewater Council Resumes In-person meetings

The Town of Bridgewater will resume in-person council meetings starting tomorrow, August 10.

The move comes after the provinces decision last week to allow municipal councils to meet in person.

The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Town Hall.

COVID-19 protocols will be observed during all meetings including; all attendees (Council, staff, members of the public) will be required to wear a non-medical mask at all times, once attendees are seated in Council Chambers in accordance with six feet of physical/social distancing from others present, attendees may remove masks, total attendance (including Council, staff, and the public) for each meeting will be limited to a maximum of 18 people, public attendance will be limited to a maximum of five people.

In addition any member of the public wishing to attend a Town Council meeting must pre-register with Town Hall by phoning 902-541-4385. This allows contact-tracing information to be collected in the event of a potential exposure to COVID-19.

Pre-registration will involve completing a COVID-19 health screening, and priority for public attendance will be given to delegations.

Meetings will continue to be live-streamed via the Town of Bridgewater Facebook page (@BridgewaterNS).
