20 Year-Old Sent To Hospital After Early Morning Stabbing In Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Police service say a 20-year-old man was sent to the South Shore Regional Hospital with serious injuries after an altercation resulted in him getting stabbed.

BPS says they received multiple calls about a disturbance on Pleasent Street early Wednesday morning. They arrived on the scene at the intersection of Pleasent Street and Phoenix Drive at 3 a.m.

Once at the scene they found the victim lying on the sidewalk and could see blood around him. They administered first aid on the scene and EHS arrived shortly after who then took him to the hospital.

The person responsible for the stabbing is believed to be known to the victim and police do not think they pose a threat to public safety.

Based on reports, BPS believes there would have been more witnesses to the initial altercation and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.
