Thousands Worth of Fire Fighting Equipment Stolen in Lunenburg Co.

Over the weekend the Department of Lands and Forests notified the public that approximately $5,000 of fire hoses had been stolen in Lunenburg County.

A tweet sent out on September 18 says that the equipment was stolen while firefighters were actively fighting forest fires in the nearby area.

As of right now Lands and Forests have not confirmed which fire department had their equipment stolen but this story will be updated once they release that information.

Anyone with more information on the theft is asked to contact RCMP or Nova Scotia Crimestoppers.
