Votes are steadily coming in around the South Shore for this year’s municipal election.
As of this afternoon, the Town of Bridgewater has reported a voter participation rate of 17.5 per cent for the town.
In the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, as of yesterday, 4,166 votes have been made with a 20.2 per cent participation rate.
The Town of Mahone Bay is reporting a voter turnout of 34 per cent so far as of this morning, however just how many votes have been cast has not been released.
In the Municipality of Chester, 38.2 per cent of voters have cast their vote, with district 5 maintaining a lead in individual resident participation at 44.8 per cent. Their advance polls close tomorrow at 7 pm.
The Town of Lunenburg saw 527 voters as of 11 this morning, making up 27.3 per cent of eligible voters.
The Region of Queens Municipality is holding its second in-person advance polling day today from Noon to 8 pm. Results from their first polling day show 439 votes, with a 5.1 per cent participation rate.
Only two districts are in the running for new councilors in the Municipality of the District of Shelburne – District 4 has seen a participation rate of 12.5 per cent as of this morning, while district 7 saw a 26.8 per cent voter turnout.
