Some people are getting excited about a Halifax travel agency’s plan to offer a resort in Cuba to Atlantic Canadians only. I’m not one of them.
I get why people want to get away from the cold this winter, but not at risking the really good thing we have going on here. Also, it’s not the provincial government that would have to waive the 14 day self isolation after travelling – it’s international travel so that is the feds.
The next question I have is how would we deal with being in the airport in Cuba, transportation to the resort, and the resort workers themselves?
Because of all the economic effects of the pandemic, I made a promise to myself to support the Canadian economy for the next two years. So I might spend the money I would have spent on a vacation on getting a sunroom or solarium built, put in some fake palm trees and sand and call it a win.
But, maybe I worry too much. Would you take an Atlantic Canadian exclusive trip to Cuba?
