Bridgewater: Snow Clearing Efforts Over Budget

A difficult winter got a little tougher for the town of Bridgewater.

There will be a deficit in snow clearing efforts due to this winter’s conditions.

Before Sunday’s storm, the town was projecting to be $186,000 over budget.

However, Engineering technician Justin Penny says they also have a reserve fund.

He says, “We do have an $87,000 reserve, so basically with the reserve factor we’re about $98,000 over budget.”

Penny says crews have done their best to clear streets and sidewalks quickly after a storm.
